Resource Access Levels
Access
The Right Resource for the Right Level of Access
SilkLinks uses clear access levels so visitors, registered members and eligible premium members know what they can open and why.
Access is inherited from the Resource Family. A Resource does not choose its own separate visibility level.
Access Levels
Three Clear Ways Resources Can Be Available
Public
Available without signing in.
Public Resources may be opened by visitors without a SilkLinks account. They support open discovery, easy sharing and broad reach.
Registered
Available after signing in.
Registered Resources require an authenticated SilkLinks account. Registered does not mean paid, and it does not mean VIP.
VIP / Premium
Available with eligible premium access.
VIP Resources require an authenticated account and an eligible active Plan or VIP entitlement. Not every Plan necessarily includes VIP access.

Opening Resources
Access Should Feel Predictable
When a Resource requires authentication, SilkLinks should preserve the Resource you asked for so you can return after signing in.
Public Resource
Registered Resource
VIP Resource
Registered Access Is Not Premium Access
A Registered Resource only requires an authenticated account. A user should not be sent to Plans merely because a Resource is Registered.
VIP Access Is Evaluated After Authentication
If a visitor opens a VIP Resource while logged out, the first step is sign-in. After authentication, SilkLinks checks whether the account has eligible premium access. If not eligible, the user may be directed to Plans.
Family-Level Rules
Access Is Defined at Resource Family Level
Resources are organized into Resource Families. Each Family determines the access level for its Resources, which keeps related content consistent and easier to understand.
Platform, Resource Type, Topics and Language describe what a Resource is. Access Level defines who can open it.
Family = Public
Resource Family -> Access Level -> Platform -> Resource Type -> Resources
Descendant Resources remain Public.
Family = VIP
Resource Family -> Access Level -> Platform -> Resource Type -> Resources
Descendant Resources require eligible VIP / Premium access.
Why Access Levels Exist
Different Resources Need Different Levels of Access
Open Discovery
Some Resource Families are useful to everyone and work best without a login barrier.
Member Participation
Some Families are designed for people who have joined SilkLinks and signed in.
Premium Value
Some Families may be attached to eligible premium access or active Plan benefits.
Controlled Distribution
Access levels help keep sharing, discovery and distribution aligned with each Family’s purpose.
Public Resources Support Open Discovery
Public Resources can be opened without signing in. They are useful for open-access destinations, public information and Resources that benefit from broad visibility.
Public does not mean endorsed or guaranteed safe. All Resources remain subject to quality rules.
Registered Resources Support Member Participation
Registered Resources are intended for users who have joined SilkLinks. The requirement is authentication, not automatically a paid membership.
They can support member-only context, controlled access and participation within the SilkLinks community.
VIP Resources Add a Premium Access Layer
VIP access may be granted through an eligible active Plan. VIP Families may support premium collections, restricted Resource groups and enhanced member access.
VIP does not mean every premium Resource is exclusive forever.
Plans
Plans and Access Work Together, But They Are Not the Same Thing
Account
An account lets a user sign in and access Registered Resources where applicable.
Plan
A Plan may provide configured capabilities, but it is separate from having a basic account.
VIP Eligibility
VIP access depends on eligible premium entitlement under the current rules. Not every Plan necessarily unlocks every premium capability.
A Plan does not automatically make every Resource available, guarantee publication, change Resource quality rules, guarantee earnings or grant access outside its configured capabilities.
Sharing
Sharing Does Not Override Access Rules
If a user shares a Resource through an attributed SilkLinks link, the recipient still needs to satisfy the Resource Family’s actual access level.
Sharing a VIP Resource does not make it Public. Sharing a Registered Resource does not remove the login requirement.
Attribution and Access Are Separate
A sharing link may preserve attribution while Resource access is still evaluated normally.
Distribution
Distribution Does Not Bypass Access
If a Resource is distributed through Telegram Sender, the Resource’s normal access rules still apply when the recipient opens it.
Telegram delivery does not convert Registered Resources or VIP Resources into Public Resources.
Same Link, Same Rules
Distribution changes how people discover a Resource. It does not change who is allowed to open it.
Troubleshooting
If You Cannot Open a Resource
Not Signed In
Sign in or create an account, then return to the Resource.
VIP Access Required
Review Plans if the Resource belongs to a VIP / Premium Family and your account is not eligible.
Resource Unavailable
The Resource may have changed, expired, been removed or become unavailable.
Access Changed
A Resource Family’s visibility may have changed, which changes access for its Resources.
Access Level Does Not Replace Quality Standards
Public, Registered and VIP Resources all remain subject to Resource Quality Standards. A VIP Resource is not automatically better simply because it is premium.
Access Rules Should Be Clear Before You Continue
- Clear requirements
- Consistent Family rules
- Authentication first
- Premium check only when needed
Common Misunderstandings
Access Questions, Answered Simply
Is Registered content paid?
No. Registered content requires an authenticated account. It is not automatically paid or VIP.
Does VIP always mean a separate account?
No. VIP is an access entitlement on an account.
Can I share a VIP Resource publicly?
You may share the Resource link where allowed, but recipients still need VIP eligibility to open it.
Does buying any Plan unlock all VIP Resources?
Only if that Plan grants the required VIP capability under current rules.
Can a Public Resource later become restricted?
Access can change if the Resource Family’s visibility configuration changes.
Does logging in automatically unlock VIP Resources?
No. Logging in allows SilkLinks to check your account. VIP access still requires eligible premium access.
